Liberty Fabric Soft Sculpture Bird

This unique, handmade bird soft sculpture stands 13cm tall and measures 17.5cm from the tip of its beak to the end of its tail feathers.

Like every bird sculpture I create, he is made entirely by hand, using vintage and pre-loved fabrics.

It is embellished with hand embroidered stitches. Texture is added with Suffolk puffs (yo-yos) which are created from a selection of Liberty print fabric. They give a fabulous texture and interest for the eyes.

The legs are formed from wire and covered with thread and the beak is carved from wood and painted.

This piece took many hours to make and is unique due to the nature of the materials used. I make similar birds, but no two are ever exactly the same. Each has its own personality.

This is not a toy and should not be made accessible to children or pets.
